Well here we are over 2 weeks into summer and I am still wearing a sweater...We have had a rainy summer so far but the weather seems to be changing and we are having a full moon tonight, as the farmers say "full moon brings a change in the weather" Let's hope so!
I can't believe its been over 2 months since I blogged... I have been doing a lot... I guess well lets get started ...whats been going on sicce I last checked in...
In May; I went to St. FX University for a week to start a 3yr course on Youth Ministry.
We bought a new truck just in time to drive my DD to her prom.
In June; I graduated from a course I was taking here for the past 2 yrs.
My DD graduated from grade 12 and will be leaving for University in Sept.
She is planning on becoming a Dental Hygienist! I have an old dentist chair that I bought at an auction when I lived in BC...I wonder if that was an influence on here career choice... hmmmm?
June was also a month of house cleaning and painting and new windows....no wonder I haven't done much knitting! My DH's parents were up for a nice 2 week visit first time since we moved to PEI. We did a bit of sightseeing and I only took a few pictures...silly girl.
These are the wind turbins up at West Cape.
This was on the way home from a day in C'town around 9pm
My DMIL is a wonderful baker so the oven got a great
workout!
Well since this a knitting blog I should end with a bit about my knitting! I have started a
Juno Regina scarf from knitty
More info can be seen on my ravelry page. It is nice to knit in the summer since it is so light and airy.
I am still working on the Botanical Medallion from Vogue Knitting Summer 09 issue. I thought the medallion would be hard to knit but it was finished in a day and the outside ring is taking a bit longer!
I have lots more to write about and pictures to post but I think I have dragged this out long enough for one day.
Chat again soon!
Peace and Blessing

Hi!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Darlene,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a busy and fun summer. My son started college this fall too, luckily he can live at home and take the bus to the campus - or I'd really miss him.
Seriously ~ only 102 knitting days to Christmas? I'd best get knitting. :) Thanks for entering the giveaway, good luck!
Best,
Renee
